You need gloves, and be very cautious about the direction, so it doesn't get ripped out of your hand. Also, wrap tape around the shaft threads.

I have a console and buckets in my car. Everything looks evenly located. I think the console mounts are off set to keep the console centered. Locate the driver's seat in line with the steering wheel, and keep everything else even, so it looks right.
