I just fabricated up this mount for a 66 Belvedere Im building. I did't want to drill into the dash so I got an 1/8" aluminum plate for work, cut it to the dimension of the speaker grille, and attached this mount system of brackets and flat aluminum stock. attached it all, painted it flat black...
That's one beautiful car! Unfortunatly I don't think I could ever own a car with that good of a paint job. It's awesome and all but every little scratch would show up and I couldn't keep up on the polishing. But what an awesome car!!!
I saw a pic of that car months ago that video just a bit ago, I LOVED the looks of it! It is so clean looking and I'd really like to do a color combo like that. The wheels and tires on it look great too. Looks modern but still hold its true muscle car appearance and performance.
Well I didn't get through all the posts and maybe this was already suggested but you could even have all the super bee optons on it and get a special sticker for it like the "rumble bee" or make up some name you like, not cloning but very unique. I know I know, some are going to say "STUPID" but...
Nice looking bird. Where in SW Washington are you located? I'm just down I5 in Tigard,Or.
You mentioned you were looking for an air grabber hood for it, where have you been looking?
I've seen a couple recently.
Those last polished centerlines you posted a pic of look awesome. I had ran a 275/50/15 BFGs on an 8" rim on my 1969 rpadrunner for a while. Originally they were on my 340 'cuda but got put on the bird for a while. They filled the wheelwel up well and looked wide and mean from behind. Also no...
Man, such determination! Glad to see you on your feet running with it after what happened. Looks like you're on pace to have a nice cruiser for the summer comming up (as long as we don't keep getting snow! Lol).
That is unfortunate. Might have to try and use the carport but have a BBQ, invite all you neighbors and fill their bellys full of hamburgers & beer. Maybe that'll keep them quiet for a while. Maybe.....
Cars aren't covered but parts are depending on circumstances. If the "parts" were off the car being worked on or stored they could be covered. Hint hint.
That's no good! The winds have been bad today. We had to drop all our cranes on the job today in Hillsboro, tried to fly some material but didn't go well.
Sorry to see things happen like this to your car. Hope it is fixable without great deals of work. Frustrating tho.
Good luck!
So did your carport hold up to all the snow falling out there? A co-worker of mine lives out there and he had problems with 1 of his. Hope it all stays dry! And you too for that matter! lol
Have you seen the pic of this guy's car? I like the looks of it. Bigger size wheels but an older style with a twist. There's a u-tube video labeled "satellite resto-mod" I believe. process of doing this car. Looks sweet in the end.
But I do understand you wanting to know how a car will ride with different or larger wheels/ lower profile tires. With your suspension uprades it would be interesting to find out or test both against each other. Once again good luck, sorry don't have any good advice for ya.
Well this is a timeless question kind of like "should I paint it red or blue, go big block or small block", etc. It all comes down to personal preferance. My good friend has many chevelles (some of the most beautiful I've seen in fact) and they're restored to a complete original state. He bought...
Do you have a u-tube video titled "satellite resto mod"?
That is a beautiful car either way, love those wheels too! What's the specs on those wheels & tires by the way?
Hey 99ss, where in Oregon are you? I live in Tigard and my buddy was looking at getting this car a while ago but waited too long and now is looking into another 1. Congrats on it tho.
And you can do it like we did when we were younger....... out in the garage late at night, drinking beer, and laying under the car with one of those square halogen shop lights that get REALLY hot and supply a great ignition source for the gas when it spills out.
Luckily it never did but sure...
