oh it fit in underneath the dash opening and the bracket went right up against it but I had to put some hard rubber spacers in so that the bracket did not crush the wiring. my big problem was that the length of it was about an inch and a half...
Here we go again. I'm building a 1966 belvedere. Originally it had power steering and I didn't care for it. I had a 1967 satellite big block manual steering car so I pulled the steering ox and column out of it. I tried installing the set up in my 66 and it didn't seem to go together. Is there a...
I was at a car show and saw a guy had his factory radio in place but he pulled open his cigarette tray and there was a control panel for his radio and aux hook up. Clean and out of the way in a place that doesn't get used anyway.
That was my assumption but wanted to ask. I have some heavy gauge sheet metal (12 & 14 gauge) I can my own braces. I will be doing something to reinforce tho. This is an auto car but am pushing the high 400hp range and further with the blue baby bottle on it so reinforcement will be a good idea...
Ok, so this might just be a stupid question but I'm installing bucket seats into my 66 Belvedere where there use to be a bench from factory (car was bought with c-body buckets someone else installed). My question is, is there another reason other than strengthening the floor a bit to add the...
I just put on a test fit tire and wheel combo on my '66 belvedere tonight. I used a 275/50/15 mounted on an 8" weld draglite with 4 1/2" back spacing. Stock rear suspension but the wheel lip is rolled from previous owner. There is still space between tire and quarter panel and tire and leaf...
Thank you for the pic. So by the looks of it I could simply use heavy gauge sheet metal and break it at work to a 90 deg angle and weld it to the floor pan, unless there's something I am missing here. But it looks easy to me.
Im putting together a 1966 belvedere and it had a bench seat originally. So I have a pair of buckets I'm going to install and wonder if anyone has a pic of those bucket seat braces you have to add to the floor boards after they were installed? That would be great, Thanks guys!
Well crap, I was worried about the springs also clearing the gas tank. Thanks for all the valuable info guys. I now have to consider my options, which are dwindling or altering! lol.
Thanks again.
I have considered the fuel cell idea but I liked keeping the stock tank if I could. My other thought was to bring the exhaust over the axle and dump them down right behind the rear wheels toward the ground. I'm sure it'll be louder than going out the back but better than dumping down before the...
I already have my headers and mufflers. Im not doing cut outs, at least I had not thought of doing that. I'm mostly trying to get this darn thing on the road so I can have some seat time, its been too long since I've been behind the wheel and my wife's condition has dampered most hobby interests...
Ok guys, how many of you have stuffed 3'" exhaust under a '66-67 b-body? I have a '66 Belvedere that I want 3" exhaust down the car & over the axles. Now to throw in another factor I'm going to be moving the springs in 3" with the MP kit down the road. Yes the stock tank is still there too and I...
Here's a pic of the scoop. Its really sturdy and has some flat mounting tabs molded onto the bottom for mounting purposes. This item is great for the price too, I believe he's charging $175 plus shipping.
Hey guys, I just wanted to give a big shout and let you know I bought a hemi style hood scoop for my 1966 Belvedere from Jeff at "Car Crazy Fiberglass" [email protected]. The product looks great and is sturdy. The other great feature is that he's selling them at an extremely reasonable price...
