On both my B Bodies. I left the original front bars and added Firm Feel 3/4" rears. I was very surprised at how much body roll was eliminated. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I am leaning towards this being your issue. Just seems like if the steering box was put together with a tooth off, you would be having more problems than just being 90 degrees off at the steering wheel.

That adjusting screw you mention is really not the correct way to adjust slop out of the box, but it will help some. Agree with the above post though. If that screw top is flush with the nut, it is time for a rebuild or replacement.
When I put those bars on my cars, I did drill through the frame and run long bolts through. I would have to look, but I believe I used 3/8" diameter bolts along with nylock nuts so as not to have to overly tighten them. I was very impressed by how much these rear bars limited body roll.
If you want to straighten out your steering wheel, you need to move both tie rod adjusters an equal amount. That will keep your toe measurement where it is now. I wouldn't think 1/8" toe is terrible, especially if it goes down the road nice and doesn't wear tires.
I want through the same crap with Firm Feel a couple years ago for 2 rear sway bars. It was covid time, so I was hoping it was an isolated case, but I guess not. Unfortunately, no one else sells his stuff.
Personally, I don't like poly bushings on these old cars. I have tried them in the past, but went back to rubber. That said, I am kind of surprised of that failure with a Proforged part. I know they are made overseas, but not China. I really like Proforged stuff and think it is good quality...
