    In tank fuel pump

I installed a '69 RR tank, from Tanksinc. I installed the 400lph in tank pump. It was a fairly strightforward install. I haven't tested it yet because the engine is not in, but I'm happy with the fit and all. Cost about $600 bucks for the tank, neck, cap, filter, plumbing, ss braided hoses 1/2"...

    8 pt roll cage question

Wow DVW you explained that very well. Doing it that way no doubt saves a bit of coin (headliner and glass detached). Think the rear glass can be kept in even with "rear seat saver" bars installed? What would you recommend covering headliner and interior walls with? Cardboard?

    8 pt roll cage question

Thanks Daytona for the info and your experience. I was told that the headliner which is in great condition will need to come out along with the other interior pieces to prevent damage to them. At this point I'm a bit frustrated that it's such a big expense because the former knucklehead owner...

    8 pt roll cage question

OK guys.... A local fab shop owner came to my house to inspect the car (it doesn't run). He said he would need the rear window removed and the headliner too because sparks could damage them as well as it will be easier for him to drill the two holes above the top reach seat and adjust the bars...

    8 pt roll cage question

Hi guys, I may be getting my roll cage re-done due to the fact the previous owner had the rear two bars go through the upper portion of the rear seat. Because of this the upper rear seat can't be installed. I'm looking to have the bars come up and over the top rear seat and into the trunk...

    Post your 10 second combo's

Mike, Have you considered going to EFI and tuning yourself? There's alot of pros with efi, oftentimes one can get a better power band and a little more hp/tq.

I Agree Pat. Paul took the time to discuss the converter, specs, history, what vehicle it's best for etc. It's no wonder TA has been around so long. Great products and service from Paul.

Turbo Action Converter.... OLD School - Can't find much info

Hi Shorthorse, thanks for the info. I called up Turbo Action and spoke with Paul about the converter. Paul said the converter was built in 1987 has an aluminum stator and is designed for a footbrake car, not a transbrake and is dynamite when used on a street car (no four link, not cut up...

Turbo Action Converter.... OLD School - Can't find much info

Hey guys, I did some searching on the internet to try and find an answer to my question regarding my torque converter but couldn't. So I'm posting here to get your take, seeing how many of you have been racing Mopars for a lonnngg time. I'm changing engines in my '69 RR so I would like to...

    DYNO CHART-My NEW 505" Stroker

Mike, Nice build, and a super flat torque curve! A couple of ?'s: It's my understanding that anything over 11:1 with alum heads risks detonation and engine damage. How safe is 11.9-1 compression on 91 pump gas? In your opinion is having all that torque at 3100 rpm self defeating? I imagine...

Mufflers of choice for a high horsepower car?

Thank you MT & Mopar Thunder. The collectors are 24" Flowmaster merged slip on connectors and the pipes are 3.5". The headers are the old skool slip on headers. I was wondering if an "H" pipe exhaust might increase the tq down low and change the exhaust note? And is it even possible with my...

Mufflers of choice for a high horsepower car?

My exhaust exits in front of the rear wheels. It goes; headers to 24" collectors to Flowmaster 30's (old school) to exhaust tips. I believe the new Flowmaster muffler which is comparable are the Super 40's, 2 chamber mufflers. It is practical to run an h pipe across the collectors? There isn't...

    Stroking a big block 440/400

If you read online you will find more often than not that a stroke bigger than 4.250 in a 440 isn't ideal. While it is done and CAN work, most competent engine builders will go no higher due to numerous factors. Check out Muscle Motors thoughts on this under the stroker section of their website....
