I have a question about the shifter these transmissions "come" with.. I am used to external linkage types of Transmissions and having to add stock linkage or Hurst.. With these "toploader" types that have internal linkage when the supplier says " with this shifter" is that ONlY the small...
I have a 67 and spent alot of time measuring and trying different wheels on it before I custom ordered them... I crack up on here when I see some of the "recommendations" for wheels and tires for 66/67 cars......
It would have been ordered with an 18 spline Hemi 4 speed... I was around back then and MOST of us would have walked away from an automatic.....
BUT, I would keep this car as is...... WAY too valuable to screw it up

Also make sure your not using gaskets that specify NO SEALER.... I watched a Fel Pro video recently that showed some of their gaskets require NO sealer.. Video said that sealer would act like grease and the gasket would tend to "slip" when tightening the bolts up.....
