My 67's rear view mirror looks good but will not stay where I put it. There is no more friction left in the ball socket. Does anybody know a way to fix this? Rebuild it? etc?
Thank you in advance!
Well I have a thought here and maybe its just me. But do you care if its there? I mean clearly it could go either way. So if you don't care then don't worry about it, if you do, then maybe modify what you have to insert the tray?
Personally I don't smoke and could care less about...
Mine only had ash trays in the back. Front rests were solid and I know they had never been replaced.
Sounds like his was replaced with a rear rest at some time.
I just went out to take you the photo but then realized the door is all taped up because I just shot primer....if I remember I can take one of the finished door outside tomorrow.
If I can remember I could take some tonight as my door panels are off. But i do remember from looking in there that the rod turns 90 degrees to the lock mechanism on the door so the first pic you posted looks about right except it would be facing down not straight out.
Trimmer,
In my experience there are some parts just nobody wants and I sit on them for a while then scrap or pitch em. I was able to sell the clusters out of my 67 parts cars for around $100 each but the rest of the dash is another story. I scrapped the frames after a year of nobody wanting...
