The casting number is on both sides but the casting date is on the drivers side. Also there is a pad on the drivers side front of the block in front of the head that should have some stampings such as 400 HP and the motors assembly date. Then pass side down on the side of the block right above...
The 400 blocks with casting number ending with 230 and cast date before 11/10/71 are the heavy main blocks. The strongest BB block that they made for production. I sold one years ago for 600.00 The numbers block should stay with the car.
Probably is all being held in place by the headlight bezels [outer pieces of the grill]. Take care with the black honey cone mesh grill. 72 RR only and quite pricy.
The roof skin and structure and A pillar is 71-4 B 2-dr. Hopefully the sun roof can be saved and installed into a donor roof. That roof can be fixed. Need a 71-2 Plymouth door. Wonder what the jams look like?
That one took it a lot better than this one did.
I don’t think the blower and the defrost will use the same switch. blower is 3 positions… off, low, high, while defrost is only on and off
Good point. So different switches.
I believe that the switch itself is the same for both defog and defrost. The mounting bracket with the light is the same for defog, defrost, fresh air hood, wagon rear window and rear lock. Seems like something else too. 71-4B
