I don't see housing being built on that land. Bandimere in carved out of the side of a hill right next to a major freeway. Also just to the north of the track is a large MX track. It will probably be developed as commercial property or maybe be turned back into open space.
No more Mopar Mile...
The family just announced today that the track will close after this season. This really sucks.

I'll be set up in the sway as always. I stay at the Super 8 by the air force base. About 4 min. from the track. 5 nights for 300.00. They just remodeled it last year.
I've always heard over the years that the cast cranks were good for around 600hp. I guess a lot depends manual or auto tranny, rear end gears, sticky tires, etc.

Factory never put a 4-spd behind a cast crank.
I just love it when someone says that his 383 has 440 heads. 383 and 440 used the same head for all years except the 67 440 HP 917 head. Same with the 400 and 440, same head. 69 383 2-bbl had 906 heads.
I too been doing it that way for around 35 years but I tighten them to about 10ftlbs to set to preload and then loosen to find that sweet spot. I do this while spinning the wheel.
My 1-ton rear axle the preload is about 70ftlbs
I'm at 4700' and in my 72 Satellite with a mostly stock 77 truck 440 I'm running 67 in front and 72 in back. This on a later version of the 3310 750cfm. Could still go to 65's in front. This is on a street driver.
I would start with 72 on the primaries and 76 in back to start with. Run it and...
Man that blows. Glad that was the only damage and you weren't hurt.
I buddy of mine in St. Louis has a nice fender that he can bring to the Nats. Shoot me a PM for his info.
Yep and in 71 they went to Pro Stock because the NHRA was making them add weight to their Super Stock cars to "even things out" with the Chevys and Fords.
