Fuel pressre drops to near zero

Update: I was able to road test today. Warmed car up to the point the gauge had dropped to near zero and took out on 55 mph road. Ran it through the gears a few times up to 5500 rpm and no starvation issues with the 600 cfm carter. So i have concluded that the gauge reading is off due to heat...

Fuel pressre drops to near zero

Maybe gauge is ok just changes with heat? I will go beat on it a little and see if its starved for fuel at high rpm when its hot.

Fuel pressre drops to near zero

Pump is new but hear mixed reviews on quality of newer pumps. Pushrod was measured and is good. I will try a different guage asap. Thanks

Fuel pressre drops to near zero

My fuel pressure is 9 cold then falls to near zero when it gets hot. Tank is new, new 3/8 fuel line, new carter m6903 pump and 3/8 line with filter to carb. The line from the pump to carb is routed up between alternator and water pump and on to top of intake manifold. I only run non ethanol...

    What headlights are you using?

Do the leds come with the different 3 and 2 prong plugs to connect to the factory female wiring? Also have you driven at night with them? How do they perform?

    Assembly plants

Not all of their parts are stamped there but alot are. There are 4 press lines and the ability to stamp most of their own but because of company politics Belvidere stamping is under utilized for the Cherokee model so we also get alot of parts from warren and sterling stamping plants too.

    Assembly plants

I'm not sure about stamping operations in the 60s but I have worked for Chrysler for almost 30 years and most plants do not stamp their own parts. Twinsburg OH was a major stamping plant until it vlosed in the early 2000s. Warren truck and Sterling Assembly both have stamping plants next to...

Ways to fix vapor lock without a return line

Update: vapor lock seems to be fixed. Now issue seems to be fuel pressure fluctuation. The guage bounces like crazy between 3.5 and 1. I added a piece of rod drilled with a 1/16" hole to restrict flow. It still bounces like crazy. If i pinch it off it is steady. I am running 3/8 sending unit...

Ways to fix vapor lock without a return line

I agree with you and am remembering in utg's video he has his separator filter laying up on the intake. My setup is down low right now and havent tested it on a hot day yet. If it doesnt work as expected i will put the filter/ separator up close to the carb.

Ways to fix vapor lock without a return line

Not sure if anyone cares or maybe can use my info to help themselves. I used a napa 3041 filter with a 1/4 inch return line then added a 1/4 hose barb into the sending unit in the tank. FYI the 3/8 fuel filters with 1/4 returns are discontinued by wix and nappa so get them if you can. Hope...
