Those appear to be originals, other than the weld on the bracket. I have an NOS set, but I am not at home to open the boxes and photograph. The originals are chrome plated steel, NOT stainless. I purchased these over 40 years from the Dodge dealer, so the "provenance" is genuine.
Possible change in direction for you. I recently worked through a similar situation with a marine engine that had been sitting in a barn for 20+ years. While it had all appearances of an ignition problem, it turned out to be the carburetor.
You indicate the Holley carb was recently rebuilt. Does...
I have had DOT5 silicone fluid in my Charger for over 40 years with no issues. I just replaced all of the surge brake components on my boat trailer and filled the new system with DOT5 fluid.
Just a thought on that rear window corner piece. It looks a lot like the piece from a Charger. Might be worth a parts book search to see if it is the same part number for a Charger and Satellite. If it is the Charger piece will be easier to find.
My first car was a '68 Coronet 500, black with red interior. It wasn't a rag top, but it was a 383 4 spd. Just what a 16 year old needs to drive to high school.
This '69 Hemi Superbee (Super Track Pack), belonged to a buddy of mine. My buddy is on the right, his nephew, who owns the car now in the middle, and on the left, the original owner who purchased it from this Chrysler Dodge dealer back in 1969. These photos were taken in the summer of 2019 for a...
Back in the day, I went to look at at what was advertised as a '69 Road Runner, 383 4spd. car at a local used car lot ("Quick Carl Cole's Auto Sales"). Red with a white interior, looked pretty decent. Noticed during the walk around that the front sheet metal was Belvedere / Road Runner, so was...
One thing I have found that may address your issue, and I have been driving big block 4 spd. Mopars for 45 years, is that if your seat is adjusted too far back, (which may be comfortable to drive) the reach to 3rd gear is just a bit too far, causing the odd mis-shift. I am 6'1" tall and my seat...
My Hemi Charger had a Lakewood bell housing when I first got it. I seem to recall not being able to install the clutch fork when it was in the car. Hence the Lakewood went away and I have had a somewhat rare factory scattershield since then. Which allows the clutch fork to be removed and install...
Back in the day, about 1976, I went to purchase a 1969 Roadrunner advertised by one of the finer fly by night used car dealerships where I lived. Red with white interior. 4 spd. console. Looked pretty good from inside and the front. Something didn't look quite right with the quarters but I...
