You know, I got mine from Detroit as well a few years ago and I just never got around to worrying about it. Now I am! I love this place! Will look at the Classic version.
Update: The Classic one did not show the flap, but the AMS Obsolete on eBay did. Ordered. Thanks!
I used Second Skin Audio Damplifier 40 sq ft box on my floor before I replaced the carpet. 200 bucks from Amazon. I'm sure the others are great as well, but it literally feels like I'm in more of a capsule vs riding in a big piece of metal.
Except for one thing, everything has been fine. I got a b body heater control panel repro that was junk. Finish flaking off paint/metal and arrived bent. The box looked like it had been sitting outside for years. This was a few years ago and I think it was partially a plastic repop vs all...
So after looking at all of the eBay listings, and other sites with NOS parts, I stumbled on a Dorman 93156 handle. Looks to be the correct mounting depth based on pics on Amazon. Perhaps this will be a good replacement! Going to get one and try it out. Thanks for the help everyone!
The one on the top is the repro. It is not deep enough to grab the entire mounting surface of the window mount. The inside of the OEM one has a larger taper and fits snug. Both do have the mounting teeth, but the repro one is cut off and not deep enough. The grommet does not help in this...
It’s all wrapped up and mailed. The part number on that bag in the pic is C087. Probably a safe check on part number. Getting to be as ridiculous as repro mustang parts. Most are junk and do not fit.
I finally decided to order a new window crank as mine is really flaking off. The new one would not tighten and was loose. Turns out it’s not an extract repro and the cylinder will not go flush without a washer or something since it is made shorter than oem. Return to vendor pretty soon!
Thanks!!! So that’s how it is now but you can tell that someone did a quick job repaint years ago. I’ve been wondering which is right. I appreciate the help!
I’ve been looking at a fair amount of posts but I can’t figure out if I continue the same suede black. I have a 70 RR with suede black so does the inside of the glove box get the same suede or more of a semi gloss black? I’m talking about the metal part when you open the door with the circles...
I have two on a gauge pod underneath and it can be challenging looking up and down a lot. Had I not just spent a few days getting mine back on after and I did the voltmeter/ammeter change I might be up for it. It was easy when I had the seat out but with my 73 rr roller blocking the door to...
There is a Coronet for sale in the LA area on FB and this was one of the pics. I have never seen anyone do this! Not sure if I like it or not, but I wanted to share. :)
Just wanted to share! My control panel buttons were worn off. I bought labels off eBay and they looked ok, but not original enough. So I contacted instrument Specialties and in two weeks they were back to me restored and look amazing!
