This is where I got mine from. It's not inexpensive (around $100) but it looks great on top of the new paint so I think it's worth it. I have had no issues with peeling either, just make sure you put it where you want it.

Unless you have the need to keep it perfectly original, I would recommend taking measurements, pictures of orientation so you can replace it after paint. There is a company that will make you a brand new one that looks just like the original.
Another place to consider is Detroit Muscle Technologies. They have a lot good stuff for our cars and I have always had great experiences with them.

It looks like a very nice car and you certainly could not build one for that price but I would think for 31k usd, you could get yourself a very nice 71-72 "real" Roadrunner/GTX of the same condition. I don't have any issues with tribute cars but they generally have a lower re-sale value so if...
What I don't understand is why they didn't sell it before it rusted over. I 100% understand we all go through hardships but if I had an idea I was about to go through a prolonged rough time and the car would be outside unprotected, I would sell my assets while they were still decent and worth...
I got these from summit for about $275 and they work great. If you needed too, you could probably modify 2 crossbars and extend the wheels further out if you needed since mine are kind of close together. My rolled pretty easy on grass and gravel but it is also, just a light shell.
Hi all,
So I found out that my lower control arm was bent where the ball joint attaches so I am looking for replacements with sway bar attachments. I found a set for a 68 charger but the sway bar tabs look to be in a different spot. They are in the center of my control arm and more towarda the...
I think he went directly over the frame rail because there was a good dent towards the back kind of close to the cross member. The story goes is he lost control and hit a mail box, then went into the ditch driving over a tree stump. Given the damage on the passenger side, valance, and the damage...
Thanks, I am probably just going to replace them both. The previous owner before my brother treated the car like the Dukes of hazard and the right side suspension took a serious beating. My guess is the bearing seized as well. They hit something hard enough bend the control arm. I will probably...
I am cleaning up all my front end parts and noticed some scoring on one of my spindles. I cleaned it up but my gut is saying it's going to need replacing. What do you guys think? The first pic is the one in question and the second is the other side.
Thanks for all yours guys help!
I called them and I am going to take it into them when I can figure out a way to easily get it there. They seem like really good guys and know their stuff!
Hi all,
I am looking for a reputable companies in the Dallas/FT Worth area that can faithfully rebuild some parts and hopefully knows a few things Mopar sepcific. Mainly I am wanting someone to rebuild my rear end as well my 727 transmission because I do not want to tackle them myself. I am not...
Welcome to FBBO! This is a great site for knowledge!
I can't speak to the 3 colors you saw but a true EV2 is a reddish orange. Dodge hemi orange is more of a true orange. It's not the greatest picture and the hemi orange is spray can but you can tell a distinct difference between the hemi and...
That would be interesting to build a challenger from completely new parts my guess is that it would be close to 60-70k to do everything yourself. From seats, dash, electrical, not one reused part.
Are you sure this wasn't a nightmare???
Seriously though, that would be one massive undertaking but would be one heck of an amazing build! Some here have come close to it with the rust they had. Much respect to those guys!
