As for your bracket the quarter panel will roll over the top. Grabbing the rocker panel area up and away from the car Will allow you to get around the bracket. As for the lead seam you will have to bend it up and away from the bracing. I was not able to get panel fully under about 2 inches...

This is exactly the same stuff I have done three dashes with. Looks great and is easy to clean. I also use it on all the plastic interior parts along with a product called sand free for adhesion.
