Thanks for posting that. I replaced the turn signal switch last year and everything was fine. I go to the car show on Sunday and my left brake light isn't working but the turn signals are. I will check the dark green wire.
Weekend before last I had to wind down the torsion bars to drop the front end and pull the engine. About 2 inches on each adjuster while laying on my back. Two days later my shoulders were killing me.
On my 66 the blower motor is accessed from the engine compartment. I pulled my blower motor out and used a vacuum to clean the heater box through that hole, so I didn't have to open the heater box. I did find this in the blower fan though.
Even though you are trying to keep it stock, doesn't mean you can't make some upgrades inside the engine to make it run better. 516 and 906 heads are identical on the outside, and you can keep the 516's on the shelf.
It is my understanding that RL cast into the block stands for raised large. My 361 has LS cast into it for low small, and 383's I have seen have LL for low large. The 361 is 4.125 bore and the 383 is 4.25 bore. I thought a passenger 413 which was 4.185 bore would be an RS and a 426 which was...
My 1966 361 does not have any engine size cast into the block either. Just the stamping on the engine pad. Are you saying that the 361 and 383 blocks are the same casting?
