Great! Now that I'm about done rebuilding and piecing together my outer wheel houses and quarter panels, AMD finally has everything for sale -- Perfect timing. :BangHead:
Oh well. That'll teach me not to procrastinate (nah, probably not).
I have confirmed that AutoBody Specialties (ABS) and C2C Fabrication are resellers of the Sherman pieces for the rear wheel arch patch panels.
According to ABS, these pieces are "die stamped 20-22 ga".
So it seems that the only company making these are Sherman and they are offered by Sherman...
Does anyone have experience with the wheel arch patch panels from AutoBody Specialties (ABS) out of Connecticut?
If so, how is the quality of the forming?
Is the thickness of the metal comparable to OEM?
Are they better than the parts made by Sherman or C2C Fabrication?
Any advice or opinions...
My Satellite is a '67 and has plastic shields - must have been a midyear running change from metal to plastic? Mine was built in the September 1966 timeframe.
My Project...
Here is my car soon after my dad and I bought it way back in '90 for $150 at age 15.
Here are are the specs:

black interior
original yellow with black vinyl top
originally sold from Weist Motor Company in York...
I agree. I have owned a 67 Satellite for a long time (still not on the road, but that's another story) and have done a lot of research and reading over the years and as far as I understand and have read, the hood scoops were only available from the factory on the GTX in 1967. Hope this helps.
