For 1965
Satellite was top of the line. Only available in hardtop or convertible. Belvedere II was available inn hardtop,convertible.4dr sedan.and wagon.Belvedere I. 2dr sedan, 4dr sedan, wagon.
If someone already cut the underhood braces, it’s already modified. Put the scoop on if that’s what you want. If your going to restore the car, get a stock hood. I have never seen a real 64 max wedge car without the hood scoop.
Mine is a Belvedere1 2 door post no option car. It’s pretty rusty now. I always thought I would be able to restore it, but now I’m not sure I will ever be able to get it done
I would be interested in seeing pics of them too. I have owned my car since 1980 and have only seen two other 1965 426 streetwedge 4 speed no option cars. One was a four door. Been collecting parts for many years, but now health problems. I’m not sure I will be able to get it done.
426 cu in 365 hp single four bbl. it was the biggest engine you could buy for a street car in 1964 and 65. Although some made it to the street, the max wedge and race hemi were meant to be race only packages.
My belvedere1 original rear seat has rounded corners like a four door seat.but I don’t think a four door seat will fit correctly. I have parted out several hard tops and they all had the square seats.
I have a 65 streetwedge belvedere 1. 64 blocks stamped the engines with v for 64 & first two numbers of engine cu in. V42 for 426. 65 used A for year and all three numbers for cu in. A426. My engine was cast on 3-23-64. My fender tag date says 315. On the pad you can see that it was stamped...
Just a few things I noticed from the video. Wrong valve covers, wrong air cleaner, wrong distributor, should be dual point, wrong fan, should have clutch with aluminum fan, missing right side exhaust heat shield.less than 1,000 1965 satelite's built with 426.
