I used Addco on my Charger. I used a factory style bar on my 442. These old cars practically beg for one. I used to get a ton of rear body roll, I see why they are called land yachts.
Kyb also offers the GR2 series. Lower gas charge pressure and lighter valving. I have them on my 67 442 and they are a good ride. I have big front and rear sway bars, multi rate springs and tubular arms front and rear, so I'm not relying on the shocks for roll control or traction.
If you can find it, go read the old Direct Connection racing manual. It covers everything from engines to suspensions and and ton of stuff in between.
Anyway, it lists factory and DC parts numbers for performance mods.
In terms of suspension under acceleration, you actually want to see the...
For me, the K-frame was what started it. Mine was bent from several impacts, P.O. seems to have driven and parked by feel. Once I started looking, the QA1 K-Frame was no more expensive than a stock piece, after shipping, blasting and powder coating. After that, I figured I'd just do it all...
I used QA1 stuff on my 68. Tubular K-frame, arms, adjustable strut rods, sway bar etc. Went on and fit like a glove, not aligned it yet, so not sure how much positive caster I can get, but should be good.

I used to sell KYB among other brands and always thought the price vs. performance was good. I got my last set off Rock Auto. They had a spring special last year, I got all four Gas Adjust for a bit over $60.
I have Wilwood 4 wheel disc and a Wilwood 15/16 non power master. Haven't driven the car yet, but this is what Wildwood recommended. The tech guy said they use this setup a lot.
I have the full QA1 on my 68 Charger. Fits well, I like the tubular K-frame. I went Willwood on the brakes, but a brake upgrade of some sort is a must to me.

I went with QA1. Not light years better than stock, but my K-frame was bent, and I wanted the geometry correction of the tubular arms. I'm happy with the purchase.
I have all QA1 on my 68 mostly due to K member damage. Once I did that, I went ahead with control arms, strut rods, upgrade sway bar, rebuilt steering box. Went with PST C body tie rod assemblies and quick ratio idler/ pitman arms. Car is still in pieces, but it looks good. Hopefully it drives...
