Had a pretty stout 512 a couple years ago that would heat up @ low speeds; adding a shroud and changing the water pump pulley for a smaller one cured that.
Mechanical direct fan, alum 26" radiator, separate trans cooler.
Instead of running @ 200, it went to 160-170.
A buddy of mine needs a heater box (non-AC) for his '68 Road Runner - his has some holes, cracks, etc.
His car is a hot rod, non-#s, just needs the box itself.
Maybe '66-'70 will interchange ?

I shoot for about 1/4" - 3/8" deflection at the longest span and have never lost a belt.
I also make sure, using a straightedge, that the pulleys are in alignment.
