Need help diagnosing A833 tranny failure.

The tranny was rebuilt by a well known company and the new drive shaft was built by a very good local company. I'm not naming anyone because I really don't know what happened yet and I don't want to start a fight.

Need help diagnosing A833 tranny failure.

Hey all, I have a failure of the tailshaft bushing in a rebuilt A833 tranny with only 500 miles on it. Lower Motor pulley question - 383 BB

The lower motor pulley on my 65' 383 BB has an odd bolt pattern ; all the holes are evenly spaced except for one, is this normal? The reason I ask is that the damper on the engine has all evenly spaced holes, therefore I can only get 5 bolts to go in.

I should add that I got the engine in "rebuilt short block" condition, the previous engine builder put in the low compression pistons. The rebuild job was a cluster! We had to start over and deck the block to correct a very bad previous maching job. I looked into stock height pistons (forged...
