    1969 Super Bee Carb:

IMO, a color changed 383, column shift auto, superbee with a phony tag isn’t worth anywhere near 38,000. that asking price would be enough to make me turn the page.

    $25k vs $50k buy?

I would buy the nicest car I could afford. I’m not afraid to use nice things. the reason is: I’d spend way more improving the less nice car. I went to look at a decent “20 footer” A12 RR 2 years back. It checked all the boxes. Right color, 4 speed, running / driving car, etc... the price was...

    68 Coronet ..what's value ?

My first thought was 8000, as well. Is it worth that? Not to me, but I bet that’s what it takes (or close to it) to bring it home

    '68 GTX Fender Tag

    I’m probably in the minority, but I much prefer 68 GTx’s over 69’s. that’s a sweet combo

    69 Super Bee (Not mine)

I didn’t see mention of a tag or a sheet either. To some folks, that means a lot. Especially if you are going to put 30k into a project that costs 13000 to buy in to.

Man, it’s hard to find quality hose today

I don’t think the return line has much pressure. You don’t need reinforced lines for that application IMO. My reproduction power steering hose has been on for almost 10 years and it has no reinforcement. The pressurized side.....absolutely needs to be rated hydraulic hose for the pressure it...

    1969 Dodge Coronet Value

All the above postings are good info IMO. I would throw a value of around 10 grand on it, if it’s a real RT and has the original engine. Sounds like a pile of parts that someone gave up on to me. I would strip it back down 100% and start from scratch on a project like you are describing. Be...

How to decode Engine Date code stamping?

It’s for a 1969 model year vehicle. As has already been said, it was assembled in November of 68 for a 1969 car.

    Steering wheel resto

Send it to your choice of mopar steering wheel guys. Most reproduction parts are total garbage as far as fit and finish go. The repop steering wheels don’t look anything like original ones.

    1968 Coronet with a wing.......

It’s amazing how many mopar folks clown up their cars.

    What’s purpose of these 2 bolts ?

They secure the collar to the column housing.

    It amazes me

People are generally lazy. I prefer that they don’t “clean” items I’m looking to buy. I like to see them in their unmolested condition. What I mean is, I don’t want some fool polishing the piss out of what I’m looking at. Take the McDonald’s wrappers out of the car, but don’t pressure wash the...

    Color ideas

Looks like B5 to me. I’m betting the camera is making the top part look different, but look at the bottom of the photo

Question for guys that installed own carpet ?

I bought my carpet from Dante’s, but I believe it’s all the same no matter where you buy it from. Basically ACC product. I laid mine out in the basement for 4 months prior to install. It really helped to let it lay flat and the creases / wrinkles really diminished over that time
