Re-doing my drum brake system. What is the best choice for brake fluid nowadays?

My Harley called for dot 5. I accidently topped it off with dot 3. Master and caliper seals became trash and required rebuild and flushing of the lines. I learned a valueable but expensive lesson. I used dot 3 in my '63 B body without any issues.

    ? about adjustable strut rods

I have a set of adjustable strut rods on my '65. Also have adjustable upper A arms. Everything from RMS (Reilly Motor Sports). I just set up the strut rods so there was no binding at all at ride height. Caster adjustments made with upper A arms. I like the RMS stuff. Bill is a great guy to deal...

    rear drum brakes

Any suggestions for rear brake shoes (1965 Coronet)? I'm very unhappy with the performance of the Autozone lifetime shoes on the car now. The parking brake won't even hold the car on a slight hill, and yes the primary and secondary shoes are installed correctly and the parking brake cable is...

Suggestions for stripped out lower control arm ball join socket?

I had the same issue with the upper ball joints on my '65. I ended up changing to RMS adjustable tubular A arms. Ball joints were already installed. Also installed his lower control arm adjustable struts. Best thing I have ever done on the front suspension.

Tubular Upper Control Arms 67 cnet

I installed the RMS upper control arms and adjustable lower control arm strut rods on my '65 Coronet. Really nice pieces. No more worn out or squeeky strut rod bushings. Perfect time to re-bush your lower control arms also. The only issue is that the upper rebound bumper no longer contacts the...

    11x3 front brakes

I have two '65's, one street and one track. I put disc brakes on both. The street car has a kit from SSBC. Heavier than my old drums. The strip car has a Wildwood setup and is lighter than the drums. Both work very well but my race car is less than 3000# even with my fat butt in it. My personal...

    16:1 ratio manual box question

steering box I just built a 20:1 by using the worm gear available from Mancini. Works really nice so far in my '65 big block Coronet. The stock 24:1 was worn out though. Interesting enough, the box I used had bushings rather than bearings, so I assume that it originally came from a slant...
