You need to drill it out. It is very tight. Be careful because they installed a clamping sleeve back then. The material is much much harder than the diecast. You need a perfectly fitting drill for that. Make sure you drill it straight and only hit the sleeve. Otherwise you will destroy the...
BTW I would guess the MW Alum carrier is a few lbs heavier than the Mopar Alum carrier, for reference check out the difference between the two in the mounting flange thickness.
