That’s another issue I’m having. I had it tuned with the vacuum gauge and tried to adjust the timing, etc. and had it idling in Park at 950. I tightened everything down and had it set right, next time I start it, after the electrical choke kicks off now it’s at 2100 rpm after the chrome kicks...

3 digit group to the left of the far right 6 digit group
First number (1 to 9) = Month Jan to Sep
A = Oct
B = Nov
C = Dec
Next two digits = day of the month

I had a later water pump housing and was able to fit the Saginaw P/S pump to it, then I switched to an aluminum WP housing with the hose nipple on the driver's side. It fit that one just fine and the alignment was identical.

Take your pulleys off. Set face down. Measure the height. Report back with your findings. W/p is 2.75 inch deep. Double bottom is 3 inch deep. I bet u have 69 and older small block pulleys. Kim
Could be the needle bearings in the back of the input shaft. Main shaft spins in them in all gears but 4th. I agree with the others. Rebuild time. Bearings and syncros. Not terribly expensive if gears are ok. Not hard if you have access to a hydraulic press. Way simpler than an automatic
This shifter handle will need to be rechromed for a show car. Threads are good. Shifter mechanism works as it should.
