I’m assuming what I’m using is one piece of a 2-piece mount (missing the rear piece). I would not think adding the rear piece would affect the pulley alignment and I don’t see how the AC itself could get in the way.
If the cable is disconnected, can't you rotate it to access each spring tab ? Your's dont look very rusted, so spray it with lube, vice grips on outer sheath end, depress the tabs. Hammer tap and drift pin each tab...
