Check the bottom of the gear box and see what you find besides the broken teeth. Maybe a needle bearing or something was dropped on accident by the rebuilder.
Bust it apart and assess what's messed up. If the bearings are toast, you'll need them along with the inner and outer seals plus the collars that press on after the bearing which helps keep the bearing in place. There is also a foam gasket and a stamped steel gasket on each side. Timken...

Yukon Gear has a bearing, seal, retainer, adjuster package. Timken bearings in the package btw. Scored one to replace the Greens installed by the PO. Since I'm not sure if he pulled the buttons out of the carrier, I bought a set of those too in case they're needed when I take it all apart.
