My '71 Duster pays a visit to Nick's Garage

Sweet, Nicholas has a fantastic shop and you can be assured that his work is A++. My 426 is there for assembly and should start in a few weeks. It's the engine for my J code 1968 Charger. Customs, tariffs and shipping is the only hassle with getting parts to Canada.Kocan

70 RR drum to disc swap

Truth is, discs are cheaper to produce and assemble on the production line. Newer discs sure... they work better. 1970 tech, basically zero stopping difference. There are very few here that are actually driving their cars where fading would be an issue, vs the cost and many times nightmare of...

    it's ANZAC day

I was just reading this am from a daily “This day in History” post I receive. I don’t think I ever really contemplated the enormity of WWI. The horrendous battles and casualty levels are astonishing. Thirty countries and 65,000,000 warriors at battle all told. ANZAC was indeed an incredible...

How much does this engine worth.

Could it be a 400? I agree though, unless it is CHEAP, the intake is useless, the exhaust manifolds are too. Pulleys are weird, brackets are weird. How hard is it to find a car or pickup truck 440?

    12 volt constant Source

I installed a ground and positive hub under the dash, as well as a ground hub next to the battery. No more running/splicing wires together, bad connections, multiple wires on the battery terminals, etc. Iirc, I ran both the ignition and start wires to the positive hub, I have an electronic...

1970 383 in 1969 Charger Not Running Right

Thanks for the help! I'll check on it this evening! I'm a reader for sure, so I definitely need to read up and start building a library! I adjusted the idle mixture screws (one at a time) with the vacuum gauge hooked on the manifold vacuum port on the carburetor. I adjusted the screw labeled...

Those heads look like standard 440 heads, not the industrial heads seen on the earlier motor home engines.

How much does this engine worth.

I added cruise controls to a couple of my early B-bodies over the years, using '70's Cordoba stuff ( I was building cars 30-40 years ago). The only difference between different models is the mounting brackets and Speedo cables. There is a separate wiring harness for it, plus brake light switch...
