Can’t get fuel gauge to read full when the tank is full of gas
I have 2 sending units, one brand new the other looks original, when I hook them up out of the tank the sending units & the gauge in the car work perfect
But when I put them back in the tank they will only go to a little under ¾...
If I bypass everything and attach a vacuum line from the fitting on the intake manifold to the air grabber valve on the hood it opens right up

just noticed after driving the car on a warm day that fuel is coming out of the gas tank vents when the tank is near full
one just behind the differential & the other one that loops thru the trunk & drains out thru the right frame rail & eventually next to and on the right exhaust resonator...
