I was researching the history of the St.Louis plant, because my April 68 Charger was built there, and found a picture of the first one off the line. It appears to even be a burgundy car, like mine, but I’m interested in the wheels. They don’t look like the wheels listed as available for ‘68...
I want to get 15x7 steel wheels, and the Crown Vic ones are the right bolt pattern but apparently the center hole is too small by about 2mm? Could they be turned on a lathe to make them fit? They probably wouldn't accept dog dish caps, but that's fine with me. Seems like a cheap alternative...
