This is the best place I could find to mount the fuel pump. It's a little more than 1/2 inch from the exhaust pipe behind the muffler. I was thinking about a heat shield. Any opinions? Am I gonna hear the fuel up?

Any thoughts on pilot bushing vs bearing. Or on case I'm not wording it correctly what would you guys recommend a solid pilot bearing or one with needle bearings??? Pros and cons etc.

Recently had my rotating assembly balanced but now I'm changing pistons. The new pistons are 12 grams lighter than the old ones. What effect if any will this have?

Super budget build in the works. Do I need to use a windage tray, or is that just a performance addition? Also I have a set of rings that with about 5 miles on them. long story but can I use them in another block? assuming the gap tolerances check out.

Fresh build big block with lunati Hydraulic Rollers, the #8 cyllinder exhust lifter didnt pump up all the way. Anyone have any idea why? is it more likely a factory defect or an oiling problem? Any way to tell by taking the lifter apart?

Got a dead lifter, so 6 pack aluminum intake manifold has to come off, but it's not cooperating. I used "the Right Stuff" when I put it on about 6 months ago. I recently tried to pry it off with a large prybar, but it wouldn't budge. Any suggestions?

Anyone out ther had any luck sealing a cracked block. I was told to try Moroso Ceramic engine sealant. My hopes are not too high, but I'll try it before I tear it down. There's a 1/4" crack below the motor mount lobe that is weeping antifreeze about a drop every 2 seconds.

About a year ago I decided I wanted a little more power in my coronet so I found a used motor with aluminum heads and solid mechanical cam for $2500. Turned out to be a mistake.

This 440 block is .060 over. The head gasket opening seems a little large, but I'm just guessing. Anyone out there know if looks normal or not?
