    What is this?

    I know this is probably a dumb question, but what is the stand pipe on the back of my intake. It is like a 6 point pipe with two vacuum nubs on it. One has my power brake hose coming from it to my master cylinder. Does the other one need to be capped or left open?

    So when I barely put any slight pressure on the throttle the RPM goes from 900 idle to 1500 fast idle. I mean moving the gas pedal 1/4 inch. The carb is an Edelbrock 1407. When it is hot I tried pushing the choke shut with the throttle part open, the choke didn't move. Also, for what ever reason...
