69 Bee - Power Steering Gearbox
I have already rebuilt the pump, purchased new lines etc. The engine out and this is easy to get to. I have no idea if the internal condition, tho no visible leaks.
I would hate to it put it back in and there be issues with too much play etc etc
I do have a...
69 Bee, 383 4 speed (330 horsepower version, factory air);
Anyway, I have the 5 leaf on both sides. Need rebuilding and I don’t have time, too many other things to rebuild. I will replace them.
Out of stock at General Springs.
How would the Mopar performance 6 leaf work to use for both...
After heating and using breaker bar repeatedly and getting it at least over half out, I did this. It felt like it broke loose finally but it just broke.
Impact would not turn it so I applied heat and force with the 1/2” breaker bar.
Apparently rusted in, the other bolt came out with some...
The hits (pun intended) just keep coming on my right front side suspension. 69 Bee. There is more and more evidence of being hit, and then super sloppy work rebuilding.
Anyway, the right side has had the lugs replaced and I assume to make them uniform and RH thread. They really did a...
I’m rebuilding my suspension. Someone has mangled the threads on one of my strut rods a bit and i need to purchase the correct size tap and die. Front of the rod is course, rear is fine.
I have a 1/2 and a 5/8 for the rear, but neither seems to be correct (I’m using the correct tread) 1/2...
This evidently has been on car and used with no issues for quite some time, but a bit of the outer ring is missing, probably hit at one time. Assuming all else is good, any issues in continuing to use this? Does not seem to affect anything I can think of.
On another note, I had forgotten...
I’m about to get into my front suspension and replace, repair as needed etc. I was looking to rebuild these lower control arms and add the strengthening kit etc, but the tabs for the sway bar is missing on one and bent on the other, hole appears reamed out as well.
The sway bar was missing...
I have a new sway bar and kit coming from Summit per recommendations from others here, much appreciated.
In getting ready to install when it arrives I removed these brackets from k frame to clean up, blast, repaint etc. They look mangled on the ends and it appears there may have been hole...
Sway bar question regarding my 1969 Super Bee I'm restoring; K member has the brackets, but no sway bar on car, did it likely come with a sway bar installed from factory? and if so what size, etc? If I need the sway bar, and I assume I do, I would like to keep something close to factory and...
Check the video and then pic of back of steering of steering wheel. What do I need to do? Also vid of new turn signal switch installed.
BTW this is the second switch purchased, first was junk and I’m not, for now anyway, willing to pay almost $500 for an oem. This one “seems” to be better...
1969 Super Bee, floor shift.
Please look at pic. I thought this was for some reason built onto the steering shaft. However for whichever side I place the new bearing, it is too short or too long.
When I removed this from the car the original bearing disintegrated, but I just now noted that...
It has been a while since I took the steering column apart and, while I took pics, this portion was so corroded that the bearing came off in pieces. I’m ready to reassemble, 69 Super Bee, floor shift.
Looking at the pics, does the bearing go in and then the shaft slid up through from the...
Shaft opening in new master cylinder is slightly larger than the old one. See photos Will this work or do I need to resource another master cylinder? If so, where can I get an OEM looking one…?
Old one tight (normal). New one loose.
Thanks
Need the 4 master cylinder bolts. They mount from the back side with the nuts on the engine bay side. This is for 69 Bee manual drum brakes.
I suppose if could reuse these but after cleaning up from rust they are awfully pitted.
