Does it matter which size hose mates up to the water pump housing. I have a 73 RR with a mopar hi po pump and it has two opening for the fitting at different locations - see photo. Does the 5/8" hose go inboard of the pump or does the 1/2" hose.
I have heard that if its not correct you will...
I bought a new alum radiator and mopar performance water pump and housing and understand from some other threads that there is a way to plumb them in.
I ave a 73 RR big block without air and it has a 1/2 " hose & 5/8" hose going to the heater core. I also want to have a water temp gauge...
I have aluminum heads on my 1973 RR 440 and decided to buy a aluminum radiator from champion for it. They stated I should use ethylene glycol anti freeze and distilled water for aluminum radiators.
I looked at the auto parts store and they all have other ingredients added besides the ethylene...
I took the heater box out of my 1973 roadrunner without ac and noticed the heater box rod support was missing.
Does anyone know where i can get one or someone who has one they are willing to part with.

Has anyone used the Champion type radiator with the twin fans - see attachment. And have you good things to say about it. The Be Cool unit is pricey.

I have a new engine broken in, new water pump, new thermostat 165 degree.
When i pull the radiator cap off when hot no pressure. No water movement after driving.
Pulled the thermostat off and still no movement - as the rpm increases (1500 - 2000 rpm the movement...
