Other than correctness, does it really matter which way the coolant flows through the heater core? In other words the hoses are incorrectly installed as far as the input and output.
I had an earlier post to part number for an early 16lb. cap. My other question is if the cap is operating correctly, should the brass button in the center inside the cap be spring loaded or lose and rattling. Mine is rattling and I believe that means it needs replaced. Thanks
Can anyone describe numbers and markings on a 16lb. radiator cap for a 1963 Dodge? A picture would be even better. While I am on the subject of the cap. I know it acts as a pressure relief valve and when the pressure reaches whatever the cap is rated for it releases. If there is no recovery...
I posted earlier about removing calcium deposits from the radiator fins. This was leaking from the cap under pressure. What is the correct radiator cap for restoration purposes for a 1963 Max Wedge? Where can I get one? Thanks
I just realized my radiator cap is bad. The last time the car was run, it leaked and ran down the fan side of the radiator fins. When it dried it left a white deposit. I was told to spray it with plain white vinegar and it will remove it. Anyone had the problem and used the vinegar method?
My radiator cap started a leak and I now have white residue down the fins on the engine side of the radiator. The radiator is perfectly restored and painted. How should I clean the white stuff off? Thanks
