On the stainless steel channel on the rear of the door glass, there is a wedge shaped plastic slide with a spring attached. On mine, the spring is broken. What’s the purpose of the plastic piece being able to slide up & down a half inch and is the spring really necessary? Thanks.

I have to move a door up to align with the fender better by about 3/16”. Do I move the hinges on the door or on the body to accomplish this?
