my 62 Savoy 2 door sedan. Mexico

my 62 Savoy, is now riding, still a project

About this Mopar:

This is a 1962 Plymouth Savoy 2 door sedan car. Sold in Mexico by Automex. This car came to me by a friend in Mexico city who knows I love 62 to 65 b bodies, so one day he called me and said he had this car. Since I had a 74 Monaco and it was not my priority we decided to interchange and we made a deal. When the car arrived it was able to ride , slant six engine running, brakes working, etc.. but had a lot of things to solve. After having it stored for a while, is until now that I put some effort to get it in shape so I could ride it securely , so I gave the priority to the mechanics and security. Now I can ride on the streets, more confident. So this is an extremely rare car at least here in Mexico,,, Although it has an S/6 I am trying to give it a 43 Petty´s car look from the outside, making a kind of tribute car.... Dark blue, grey, and white stripes, 43 numbers on the doors, is my own design !!!... Car is finally resurrecting !!! I ll post pics.

Update- April 2022: Some months ago I changed the original 3 speed manual on the three for an A-833- 4 speed, stick on the floor, aluminum OD transmission. Car runs well, has new radiator panels, no starting problems, no oil burning (no fumes), brakes with service, all 4 new tires. Still needs a lot of work on body work, upholestery, etc, but I think the functionallity is the first step..., and however I enjoy driving it this way. Has 90% of parts like mouldings, gauges etc.
