I should be getting my car back from paint sometime in Fall of 2026. It currently has the stock open differential on saggy original springs (it was a stock 318 automatic car). My plan is to install a mild 440 / A833 engine / tranny combo eventually. IIRC, my car has a pinion snubber reinforcement in the tunnel. I’d like to get the rear differential and new springs installed first thing when I get the car back from paint. I THINK I will be installing a Mopar 8-3/4 rear end and I’d like to know,

1) what type of springs should I need for a cruiser that will probably never see a dragstrip? And if it does, it will be just a few passes on street tires.

2) will a non-adjustable or adjustable pinion snubber only work with “super stock” springs?

3) are there specific types of pinion snubbers that only work with certain spring packages?

I don’t know what I’m doing regarding the subject hence the reason I’m asking.

My 70 satellite was originally a 318 auto car. Now its a 440 auto. Im using -2 espo springs with dropped front spring hangars and leaf sliders in the rear. The car rides and handles well. I doubt it will ever see the track. Im using a stock non adjustable pinion snubber. With no issue's.

Nice! Your stance looks perfect! I assume the “-2” means a 2” lowering spring in the rear? I looked up Espo Sorings and they show that the B body springs for 440 are discontinued????

Yes the -2 is a 2 inch drop spring. I bought these a couple of years ago. I think there is another supplier that may have them. I dont remember the the name but im sure someone else will chime in with the info.
