I'm trying to figure out what this might be worth. I picked one up but I'm more interested in the dash that came with it.
There is a slight crack by one of the mounting screws and it has the complete wire harness.
I plan to sell it. Not trying to maximize money but would not like to sell it and see it back online for twice the amount I sold the thing.
I'd like to sell it to someone that actually wanted to use it.

I cannot seem to find one with a tach to compare to. Everything seems to have the clock unless I'm searching the wrong thing

I'm guessing this is a 71-74 b-body?

A complete cluster in great shape, with a 150 and a tach can go for upwards of $400.

Looking at prices for the past six months, if the unit is in perfect shape, i.e., fully restored and no defects, they are selling for about $700. If they are unrestored but no defects, they're selling for about $300. If it has any cracks, breaks, or cuts, they're selling for $70 to $200. Same applies to units with clocks.

Good advice bruzilla. I bought one with clock and cutout for radio for 73$ off the bay. Should be worth a lot more in parts lol

I bought one in perfect shape for $75.00 about 1977
and hoping to see it showing speed in a year or so

do you have pics i am interested for a 72 roadrunner? have you decided what you want for it? Thanks Jellinator

You would think, but the parts prices aren't there either. I saw a dash with a tack and a clock selling down in Daytona for a $100 not long ago, and I thought I would snag it to replace my sticky 150 speedo unit and use the tach and sell of everything else. But while I saw lots or Rallye components listed, few of them were selling and the ones that were sold for peanuts. I ran the numbers and found I would be better off just buying a speedometer.

Just as an update in case it is useful.
Without posting an ad for the dash. I sold the bezel and harness.
350 plus shipping costs.
I am keeping the 4 speed dash... why? Not sure.

Had another offer the next day for 450 which I had to pass on.

Sometimes you get lucky. That's the nature of selling parts. :)

Well, I don't think there was anything lucky about it at all. It was a nice piece out of Montana and I could not find another 150 speedo + tach combo anywhere to get a good idea what it might be worth.

been looking on the forums for one the past couple months, i seen them go for about $300-450 for the really nice ones. Although I just bought an original radio delete bezel for $350. It depends on who's looking at the time and how much they wanna spend.

Nope... it's luck. I bought an 8.75 center off ebay for $400 that had been relisted twice with no buyers. I just resold it last week, on the first auction, for $650. So what's the current market value for that center, $400 or $625? I know guys who have been trying to sell whole E-body 8.75 rears for $400-$600, and YY1 can tell you stories how he couldn't give them away for $100. And with Rallye dashes, I sold my 120 MPH unit for $360 while at the exact same time I replaced it with a 150 MPH unit that I bought for $50. So what's the market price, $360 or $50? That's the challenge of selling used parts. There is no definitive value for any part, and they are essentially worth whatever someone is willing to pay for them.

You got lucky and put yours up for sale at a time when two guys who were willing to meet your price needed one. It could just as easily gone the other way and the only guy looking for one only had a $100 to pay and you would have kept lowering your price until that guy bought it.

There's a 73-74 rechromed bumper that's been for sale on ebay since I bought my car back in 2011, and I'm guessing it'll still be for sale for another decade or so unless the owner doesn't realize that $450 isn't the market price. :)

It depends on who's looking at the time and how much they wanna spend.

That's a fact.

You are mixing different topics with minimal facts.

1. you bought a center and resold for a profit (did you use the same wording and the overall ad identical as the previous seller? Or did you add a better overall discription with photo's? Did the previous seller have bad ratings?, etc... )
2. I'm sure you did not buy this 150 speedo in the same forum/site as your sold your 120 speedo. Again, same as #1, a lot of different scenerio's can take place....

There are always good deals out there but it shouldn't have a reflection on the current market value.

As I mentioned, I never advertised my dash for sale. Fact.
I instantly had two interested buyers. Fact.

you think it's lucky? That is your opinion. Obviously there was a bit of a demand for the part, or I would not be considering what site and how many to post it for sale.

In general, I do not buy and sell parts. This was probably the second part I sold related to Mopar. The whole reason I posted this thread. I wanted another part and had him throw this part in to give me an incentive to buy the other part.

Nothing about what you wrote is a fact and you have everything in this thread to read.
350 is as low as would have ever went. If I never sold it, I have 2 other chargers so I wasn't too worried about it.

Correct. That is where this one fell into. Twice

these are the prices I found average on these:

basic rallye cluster.... $150-200
with clock... ~$250
with tach... ~$350 ( normally unknown tach conditions )

prices can change according with bezels condition ( radio opening untouched ), switches and knobs and AC-Hater control presence ( or not )

120 speedos a little bit cheaper than a 150 speedo

however latelly the basic Rallye cluster is getting higher quotes due the lack of clock/tack clusters

Note... clock and tach clusters are EXACTLY SAME PIECES, just changes the clock or tach.

Basic rallye cluster is a totally diff monster, where all gauges ( but speedo) are totally diff. Housing is diff too.

So if you want a Tach cluster you can also get a clock cluster, remove it and change the clock for a repro tach, which is 8K RPMs instead the original 7K RPMs

While sorta on this subject, I just emailed Redline gauges for a quote on converting a factory clock to tach. According to a thread on Roadrunnersnest, they are more correct and accurate than the current reproduction tachs. I think they just use the housing and resilkscreen the face with a new movement. The repos have flat needles, bouncy response, plastic housings, screws don't line up, wrong sweep and decal face. Thought I would post that for those that come seeking info.

I'd be interested in the price for the redline conversion.

What I usually do is just find an appropriately sized aftermarket tach with a similar font and sweep, remove the lens, and stick it in the clock hole.

...and I'll add...this is how we establish a "value" for parts- not just "whatever someone is willing to pay"- I HATE that cop out answer.

We establish a range of values based on recent sales, and take into account variations in condition and quality.
Further, we can arrive at a better figure by dismissing the highest and lowest figures if we have enough to do that, as they are likely to be anomalies.

I agree with Nacho's basic valuation model, as well.

I do have to add to this that all of the tach's I have seen come up in the past couple months were in not working to uknown conditions..not one I saw could prove or have even said it was working....
