Found good deal on some Cragar's. Front 17x7 backs 17x8 with 3 1/2 backspacing. Would the back be ok with 275/50R17. For 72 Charger.

Those are the same sizes I bought for my 68. I have not test fit them yet but my measuring says they should fit ok.

You should be fine if I remember correctly you can get a little wider under there still

3 1/2 will be marginal on the back. You really want 4 to 4.5 BS on an 8" rim - 4.25" is what I have. A 275/50r17 is around 11" wide, on my 71 the inner lip is around 5.75" to 6" from the drum (depending which side you measure), with a 3.5" BS that will put the outside of the tire at 6.5" from the drum. I think the 72's are the same. Might be OK depending on body travel.
