Trying to line up a viewing of that car. I don't have much Mopar knowledge, so I am hoping to learn the significance of this 1964 MaxWedge motor in this 71 Charger. Is this a common/desirable thing to do with a Charger/B-Body??? The seller is making it out to be some sort of treasure, just want some feedback on this car before I go look at it. I'm trying to get more pics out of the guy, but he's not being too forthcoming as of yet.

as for valuable,no,it isnt.
id be wanting to know the Vin to see what it was Factory, otherwise its a clone car.
even if its an r/t,its got a non original motor, and other items have been replaced, most likely with no regard for anything but function.
best thing you can do is bust him to 10k for the car and then put a 440 back in it.
sell the 426.
thats just my opinion, but i will say this about the car itself.
he was asking 10k for the motor at the start and id wager he has over 7k in the whole car now :)
this is assuming youd want to get into that sort of project to begin with.....

there are cheaper cars out there...plus..
why is there only 1 pic of the car and it appears to have crap rims on it and the front ends whooped...?

It is a 426 wedge block looks like a max wedge (notches in the block for intake valves) It probably has regular big block heads though because it states it has an 850 carb on a dominator intake! The short block is worth a few dollars by itself! As for as the charger Not worth the money it's listed for! I agree with BeatersRus on the car Try and get it for much less with or w/o the engine!

Thanks for the help guys, I think I'm going to let that Charger be. I don't have a comfortable feeling about it.

I am going to a cruise night in a few hours to look at this car: http://erie.craigslist.org/cto/5053391470.html

Can you guys give me your thoughts on that one? I will inspect the rear quarter rust to see how bad it is.

It seems like a high price for a plane jane Challenger with a 318/auto. I'd probably only want to pay $11k at most if it passes my eye test.

Edit: Ok, nevermind about the Challenger. While the interior is all new only 1 year old, the 3 year old paintjob it quite bad. The paintjob combined with the 318/auto pushes it out of my desirability range.
