I'm about 95% sure there is no difference in the stainless trim between vinyl and non vinyl top cars...

I just put mine back together after paint in the spring and there is plenty of room for vinyl had I been installing it...

If I needed a vinyl top I'd be getting in contact with Dante at Dante's parts...
