1965 coronet wiring problem

i bought a new steering column, after market, with titl wheel. the plug in is different..for the wiring... i have the color code for the new column.. can any one tell me the color code for the orignal 65 coronet wiring, coming out of the column to the plug in....what color wire works what??
what i want to do is cut my orignal plug off an conect it to the new column ... this way i plug it in an everything will work...thanks in advance.. pulling my hair out in ky......chet layne
