Has anyone used the one piece floor pan that fits 66-70 b-body cars on a 66-67 b-body car? On a few sites it says it will work for the 66-67 cars but it is not correct. How serious is this issue? I would greatly appreciate some feedback because I am about to purchase the sheetmetal to get the project moving forward.

According to AMD, Goodmark, and Sherman, 66-70 are universal for those years...

A little piece of mind I guess..... They also have the same wheel base if that says anything.

Yes, they say it will fit but Goodmark says it is not factory correct under the picture. I just wanted to get some feedback from someone that has installed one in a 66-67 car. They look like some really nice pieces. I was thinking about changing the entire floor pan vise rear pans. I will probably replace the entire trunk pan also. From one user to another type thing you know what I mean.

My brother got a good deal and put a Goodmark in his 66 Sat.

The tunnel sits really high in the center at the very front, it didn't have inboard braces for bucket seats, and probably the most obvious, it has the 68-70 flat spot on the tunnel for the auto shifter linkage, which the 66-67 doesn't have.

None are deal killers, though. Especially for a driver.

Hard to see, but look to the right and down from the fuzzy dice.

Thanks for the help and the picture. Mine will be a driver so those imperfections will not be a problem. Did your brother install the floor pan or have a professional do it. I am thinking about doing it myself since my background is aircraft sheetmetal and welding.

He did it, but there was lots of cursing.

He cheated on some of the areas near the wheel wells and above the frame horns, where he just couldn't get a drill or grinder. The metal was good, so he cut straight, cut the new pan to match, and butt welded, rather than using the factory seams.

I suggested cutting "pie shaped" wedges from the tunnel and closing them up to shrink it, but I think he's not going to worry that much since it is a console car.
