I have a 66 cornet 2 door sedan and i'm looking for a heater delete plate, a decent dash pad, and the trim that fits above the door panels that is the painted kind, not polished.

GOOD LUCK!!! I have NEVER seen on for sale.

Here is a picture of one on my no radio and heater delete dashboard. The no radio plate extends up over the angled crease in the dash and has a "lip" on the top of it that the heater delete plate sits on top of it.

I had a discussion on the Net with another member of one of these Mopar specific sites about making one of these. I don't remember if it was radio or heater plate he was looking for. I told him that if it were me I would get the plastic checker board peice off of a glove box door. I think the Coronet 440 and/or the 500 has this. It MAY work to cut one of those to work. It would be worth trying anyway.

The dash pad is repoed and the upper door metal panels should not be hard to find.

i have a perfect brownish one

I believe the color is impregrated in the plastic but it shouldn't be a problem to paint.

That is a rare peice.

I used to watch for that kind of stuff for several years on Ebay and never saw one come up for sale.

ssshhhhhh....hey dd.....Darryl left the keys in his Hemi. Lets take it out for a spin:rolling:

i've seen 2 for sale...one was already sold on moparts for 395 and one on ebay a year or so back went for 200...I have a reproduction one i got from some guy in ebay that makes them out of his garage. I have an original radio delete, but would like an original if possible.

let me eyeball it in the morning havent looked at it in six months, i believe it was perfect .not puckered up on the edges or anything. caps are 75. solid original should be worth a hundred. I recovered mine in my car with vinyl.looks nice but its not original. i was gonna dye this one so if im a little high im sorry but thats what it would be worth to me. ive got a 66 also.

sounds good. I live in california, so hopefully shipping for something like that isnt too much.

Yes, it is a Turquoise/Turquoise car.

I had no idea anyone was making them.

mine is a turquoise/turquosie car as well. It's a we21 economy car. Not a rare hemi like yours, but atleast it was a v8 car. I don't plan on leaving it stock anyways.

Heater delete plates and the radio delete plates are on ebay at times. The original heater delete plates were made from the radio ones....

I don't think that is true. In order to do that you would have to cut the radio plate to fit for the heater control area. Mine has a manufactured finish all the way around it.

Yes, I see SOME radio and heater delete plates for various models on Ebay OCCASSIONALY, but we are speaking specifically 1966-67 here. I have not looked for them for along time, as I have not been looking for ANY parts for sometime. When I was actively looking for a lot of parts I had the heater delete plate in my search criteria just to see what the part was worth and I NEVER found one in 4 years of looking.

Well, you believe what ya want...parts books state the same part number...we got an 8,000 mile original WO Coronet up here, radio delete plate and heater delete plate have the same Chrysler part number on them.

The factory took the radio plates and machined them down to make the heater plates

I know we are talking about 66 & 67, I have both....there is a guy up here in Washington reproducing both.

Well, I will have to see how big a PITA it is to remove and look at it again. Maybe I am wrong but I remember it as appearing all factory. I gues it depends on how good a job the did "machining" them.
