I need both rear panels for my 67 Coronet drop-top. Some heathen back in the Neanderthal days felt it necessary to put in two pair of speakers in each panel....thanks-Dan(the man)

I'm a Neanderthal. Back in the early 80's I had my first 70 Satty convertible. I couldn't figure out how to get speakers in those rear panels. BUT, I was able to put 5" round speakers in the door panel ( there's actually a cutout in the metal frame of door). So, I promptly cut a hole in the door panels, ran wires and installed the speakers. After putting it all together, I realized the window crank hit the speaker that was sticking out about 1 1/2" and would only roll down about 3". I looked for thinner speakers, but they were more than I could afford so I just left the set screws out of the cranks and when I dropped the top and rolled down the windows, had to do a series of on and offs with the handle to get the window all the way up/down. Hey, I was young and stupid. I did learn from that mistake though.

I did the same thing with my first Coronet in 1977, pristine and garage kept. Screwed up the door panels cuz' I didn't do my research (way before the internet, haha). Also did something I am ashamed to admit-I cut holes in the grill approx 5 inches from the hi-beam so I could mount my fog lights (what were we thinking, or too stoned to think) flush with the other lights. ugh!! Thanks (I think) for bringing back old memories-Dan....keep in touch
