1967 Dodge Charger Trunk Cylinder Lock follow-up: Thanks for all of the input so far. Much appreciated! I have found a 1966 Dodge Charger trunk cylinder lock, but I am missing the key. My locksmith said that there is no way he can get to the tumblers without destroying the chrome face of the lock. Does this sound accurate? I have a few trunk lock cylinders off of 1968 Chrysler Newport. Would the chrome face off of these work? Thanks!

I thought replacing that face was part of their job? Maybe a special machine is required that he doesn't have?

Our car had a GM cylinder in it when we got it. You couldn’t tell it had replaced the original.
