Does a 1967 Belvedere horn have a fuse, relay, both or none. My friends horn is not working and he is ready to take off the horn ring saying it is probably the ground wire.

None. I don't remember where a B body relay is, on the A's it's out front on/ near the radiator support. Wire H1-16V goes to and junctions at the alternator output stud, so that's where main power comes to the relay, UNfused.

Wire H3-18BK goes to terminal W of the bulkhead connector, and directly from there to the horn button.

These are easy to troubleshoot

1--- Go out to the relay in the engine bay and ground the black wire coming off the relay. If the horns work, it's the wiring or horn button

If they don't, it's the relay or horns. Jumper power using a good heavy wire from the alternator or battery to each of the horn terminals. If they work, it's the relay

2---If the above test indicates wiring to or the horn button, go in and access the column connector, and ground the horn wire there. If it works, it's in the horn button. If not, probably in the bulkhead connector.

3--If the above indicates horn button, take the horn ring/ button off and go from there. Often, it's rust in the contacts, a worn brush, etc in the column

the horn relay is right next to the starter relay close to the bulkhead connector. thats where its at on my 66. 9 buxx at NAPA.

make sure the horn itself has a good ground to where it mounts. as far as a fuse....i really am not sure.

Thanks to both you guys for in depth info. We found the horn relay and all connections are good. I said let me try the horn again. Same thing until I pushed the ring dead center at the bottom over the wheel spoke and the horn blew loud and clear. It won't work antwhere else on the horn ring.

thats an easy fixx

remove the steering wheel and inside there is a circular switch held in by 3 or 4 screws.get some sandpaper and clean up the contacts. one hour job! i had to do that to my road runner and the belvy. corrosion develops coz theyre so old and the contact is copper or aluminum...i cant remember,,,IM OLD NOW TOO
