Its a very subtle difference. I sat the two part numbers on a table and measured every corner and it was the same, however the difference is in the "R" and the "T". there is a crease almost in the middle of both letters which makes it very difficult to duplicate. The 1969 can be used and it can be modified but its a pain to do with out breaking it. The pictures below show the 1969 on a 1967.There is a body line that runs right through those emblems. The 1967 body line is sharper that the 1969.
The 67 emblems have a sharper curve than 69 as 67RT said.
The confusion with these things is that Mopar superseded the sharper 67 with the 69 290.... part number. Not sure exactly when, but it had to have happened when they were coming up with 69 part numbers, give or take any way. So that means that Mopar stopped making the actual 67 sometime in 68 or so? Again not sure exactly. That's why you can't find any NOS 67, but can find plenty of 69 out there.
I have a set, but am holding on to them. If my hood letters work out, I will consider making them, but I need Mopars permission to do so. They really are almost impossible to find, and also re-chrome correctly. You end up losing a lot of detail.
