1968 Charger drip rail moldings

I ordered a new set of drip rail moldings for my 1968 Charger that has a vinyl roof.

The supplier insisted and continues to insist that this set will fit both a standard roof and a vinyl roof Charger..

The very experienced body man working on my Charger cannot get these new drip rails to fit... they are not as wide as the originals..

Any help/hints that can be offered would be greatly appreciated ...

They're different in widths...not much but enough to keep from tearing the vinyl and to snap on.....buy from an experienced seller or vendor...used ones are either taken off right or a twisted mess....I posted in your other thread whom to try.
