1968 charger taillight housings

my originals were too far gone to even rechrome. i bought a full set from pg classic in canada. they are huge!!! and dont go all the way in the holes in the panel.


anybody else run into this?

no, are you referring to the studs that stick out that fit in the panel?

no, i actually thing the housings themselves are about a 3/4 of an inch to long. thats before that massive gasket is in there too!!

i figured out the issue.....the taillight panel was replaced and the mounting tabs on inside the panel that holds the bracket are all too short. the the taillight housing stops before its fully inserted

figured it out....

AMD sent the new panel with the taillight brackets installed backwards and i didnt notice until i compared them to the pic of the old panel.

kinda obvious when side by side
